Scheibl, Hubert#

Scheibl, Hubert, b. Gmunden (Upper Austria), April 15, 1952, painter. 1976-1981 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with M. Weiler and A. Rainer. 1986 participated in the exhibition "Hacken im Eis" in the Museum des 20. Jahrhunderts (with H. Brandl, G. Damisch and O. Zitko). His paintings are characterised by expanses of colour, extending at times to an almost monochrome style of painting.
